About ACC Ski Weeks

Ski Weeks are self-guided, 7-night helicopter-accessed backcountry ski trips at one of two ACC huts. Bookings are made through an annual lottery.

ACC Ski Weeks are self-guided, 7-night helicopter-accessed backcountry ski trips with exclusive use of an ACC hut for your group. You build your own team, bring your own food, and run your own trip.

Where Ski Weeks are held

  • Kokanee Glacier Cabin (Nelson, BC) — capacity 15. Has an on-site custodian. Moderate terrain, including mellow bowls. ACC membership is not required to enter the lottery for this cabin.
  • Fairy Meadow Hut (Golden, BC) — capacity 20. No custodian. Advanced terrain with glaciated lines. Active ACC membership is required.

How the lottery works

  1. Entry fee per application
  2. Members: up to 2 entries per week
  3. Non-members: 1 entry per week (Kokanee only)
  4. Winners are drawn after the entry period closes and notified by email
  5. Winners have 48 hours to confirm receipt
  6. A 50% non-refundable reservation fee is due within 7 days
  7. Remaining 50% is due 90 days before your trip start date

The lottery opens annually in spring. Watch the ACC website and member communications for the specific dates each year.
