About ACC Volunteer Awards
The ACC recognizes volunteer contributions through a series of named awards. Members and sections can nominate volunteers for the awards each year.
Volunteers are central to how the ACC operates. The Club recognizes volunteer contributions through a set of named awards covering service, leadership, and contributions to Canadian mountaineering.
The awards
- Alpine Spirit Award — recognizes new volunteers making a positive impact
- D.F. Service Award — honours significant service through volunteerism, leadership, or contributions to Club operations
- Honorary Membership — recognizes outstanding contributions to Canadian mountaineering
- Eric Brooks Leader Award — for mountaineering and ski mountaineering leaders demonstrating commitment to developing technical and leadership abilities
- Distinguished Service Award — for distinguished service in areas outside mountaineering activities
- Silver Rope for Leadership Award — recognizes excellence in both leadership and technical mountaineering / ski mountaineering ability
- A.O. Wheeler Legacy Award — honours outstanding and varied contributions to the ACC over many years
