Check-In, Check-Out and Custodians at ACC Huts

ACC hut check-in is at 1:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Most huts don't have on-site staff. Bring your booking confirmation if you do meet a custodian.

Check-in and check-out times

  • Check-in: 1:00 PM
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM

These times exist because there are no transition days between bookings — the outgoing group needs space to clean up, and the incoming group needs the hut ready for them. Please respect them.

Arriving early

If you arrive before 1:00 PM, you're welcome to leave your gear in the communal area, as long as it's out of the way of the departing group.

Custodians and hut ambassadors

Most ACC huts do not have on-site staff. A few huts have live-in custodians during certain seasons, and ACC volunteer hut ambassadors visit huts throughout the year.

If you meet a custodian, bring a copy of your booking confirmation as proof of your reservation. Custodians and ambassadors are there to help and answer questions — they are not responsible for cleaning the hut after guests leave. Cleaning is the responsibility of every guest.
