How to Book an ACC Hut

Members and non-members can book ACC huts through the member portal. Booking windows differ by hut type — and BC provincial park huts are open to everyone equally.

Most ACC huts are booked through the member portal. Members get earlier access and discounted rates. The major exception is BC provincial park huts, where members and non-members have the same booking privileges.

How to book online

  1. Sign in to the member portal at app.alpineclubofcanada.ca
  2. From the left-hand menu, choose Hut Bookings
  3. Select your hut, dates, and number of guests
  4. Provide details for each guest, including any ACC member IDs
  5. Pay in full to confirm the booking

Member rates and the member booking window only apply when you're signed in.

Booking windows

  • Most ACC huts: Members can book up to 180 days in advance. Non-members can book up to 90 days in advance. Members cannot book non-member guests beyond the 90-day window.
  • BC provincial park huts (Kokanee Glacier Cabin, Bugaboo Hut, Silver Spray Cabin, Woodbury Cabin, Elk Lakes Cabin): Members and non-members can book up to 180 days in advance. Rates are identical for everyone — no ACC membership required.

Booking less than 7 days out

For last-minute bookings within 7 days of your stay, the online system isn't available. Call the reservations team at (403) 678-3200 or email info@alpineclubofcanada.ca.

Section huts

Section-operated huts (such as Wally Joyce (Bon Echo) Hut, Keene Farm Hut, Jim Haberl Hut, Tantalus Hut, Hišimy̓awiƛ, and Wendy Thompson Hut) are not booked through the central ACC portal. Visit the relevant section's website for booking information.

Kees and Claire Memorial Hut (Spearhead Huts Society)

The Kees and Claire Memorial Hut is booked directly through the Spearhead Huts Society — not through the ACC portal. ACC Vancouver and ACC Whistler members get a 90-day booking window through that system.

Lake O'Hara (Elizabeth Parker) Hut summer booking allocation

Because of the popularity of the Lake O'Hara area, the hut runs on a booking allocation process for summer bookings. Members can purchase up to two applications each; non-members are limited to one. Watch the ACC website and member communications for the annual booking allocation dates.
