Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance
Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance from TuGo reimburses non-refundable, prepaid travel costs if you have to cancel or cut short your trip.
Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance is a separate product from emergency medical coverage. It reimburses non-refundable, prepaid travel costs (such as flights, deposits, and registration fees) if a covered situation forces you to cancel before you leave or cut your trip short.
What it covers
Common covered scenarios include:
- Sickness, injury, hospitalization, or death (yours or an immediate family member's)
- Quarantine
- Job loss
- Natural disasters
- Missed connections
Specific eligibility, exclusions, and reimbursement limits are set out in your policy documents — review them or contact TuGo for full details.
When it makes sense
- You've prepaid for a trip with significant non-refundable costs (an ACC camp, a Ski Week, flights, hut bookings)
- You're travelling within your home province (where TuGo medical coverage doesn't apply, but cancellation/interruption still does)
- You want protection against unexpected disruptions to a planned trip
