What to Bring to an ACC Hut
A packing list for an ACC backcountry hut stay — what's already provided, and what you need to bring yourself.
ACC huts are well-equipped for cooking and sleeping, but you'll need to bring your own bedding, food, and a few essentials. Use this list as a starting point and check your hut's dedicated page for hut-specific notes.
What's already at the hut
- Foam mattresses (in shared sleeping areas)
- Propane stove and propane
- Cookware (pots, pans, kettles)
- Tableware and utensils
- Cleaning supplies (dish soap, sponges, brooms, mops)
What to bring
Hut access and maintenance:
- Your ACC booking invoice (it has the lock combination)
- Toilet paper
- Garbage bags — for packing out all your garbage
Sleeping:
- Sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Earplugs and an eye mask (huts are shared spaces)
Hut essentials:
- Indoor shoes or hut booties (dirty footwear stays at the door)
- Headlamp
- Water bottle
- Lighter or matches and paper (for huts with wood stoves)
- First aid kit
Food:
- All meals and snacks for your stay
- Coffee, tea, or other drinks
