Booking ACC Huts
How to book ACC Huts, check availability, cancellation policy, and more!
If I am a member, how do I book a hut?
Members will need to log into their member portal at app.alpineclubofcanada.ca to book huts within the 180-day window and at discounted rates.
Once logged into your member portal, navigate to the drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the screen and click on HUT BOOKINGS. If you are not logged into the member portal, you will not be able to book a hut within the member booking window or at member rates.
Can I see an availability calendar per hut?
Not at the moment. We’re continually working to improve the membership experience, and we’ve heard from members that seeing availability by hut would be helpful. As part of our phased implementation, we’re aiming to have this update available soon.
Note: Section Huts, such as Keene Farm (ACC Montreal), Bon Echo (ACC Toronto), Haberl (ACC Vancouver), Tantalus (ACC Vancouver), and Hišimy̓awiƛ (ACC Vancouver Island) cannot be booked through the central ACC portal. Please visit each Sections' website for information and bookings.
Spearhead Huts Society: Please note that Claire and Kees Hut are booked directly through the Spearhead Huts Society. ACC Vancouver and ACC Whistler members get a 90 days booking window. Visit https://spearheadhuts.org/reservations for more information.
How can I book a hut within the 3-day booking window?
Hut bookings beyond 3 days can now be made online! If you wish to book a hut within the 3-day window, you must call us at 403-678-3200 to make your reservation.
Did the hut cancellation policy change?
Yes! The cancellation policy has changed - from a 50% refund if cancelled 2 weeks before travel, to a 75% refund. We hope this encourages you to cancel if your plans change, giving someone else the opportunity to enjoy a stay. Ultimately, as a non-profit, our goal is to get folks outside and appreciating natural spaces - so we hope this makes it a little easier to do so.
We've changed our cancellation policy from a 50% refund 2 weeks before to a 75% refund.
Do I have to be an ACC Member to stay at a hut?
No - everyone is welcome at ACC huts! Our network is open to all, offering a warm, communal atmosphere for mountain enthusiasts of every background and experience level. ACC members do receive perks, including reduced accommodation rates and exclusive advance booking windows, making planning your next adventure even easier.
To keep the booking process fair and smooth, each reservation must accurately reflect the membership status of every guest at the time of booking. You’ll be asked to provide details for each ACC member (if applicable) in your group, including their name and contact information. Our staff will review bookings to confirm member status and group composition.
Please note that if the details provided do not match actual membership status, your reservation may be subject to cancellation. Following these guidelines helps us maintain the integrity of member benefits while ensuring a welcoming and equitable experience for all hut users.
I want to book the Lake O’Hara (Elizabeth Parker) Hut, how do I do that?
